Landmark
For all that Monica Dutton has endured, she deserves a quilt. In preparation for season 5 of Yellowstone, we will gather together to make one to celebrate her Native American heritage. We found the perfect pattern from @theblanketstatement called “Landmark”. We made the square throw which finishes at 60”, but the pattern has five sizes up to 98”x98”. The pattern offers 2-color, 6-color, and scrappy variations. Using Grunge fabrics for our shop sample, we chose colors based on some Native American art we found online. It would be beautiful in other traditional colors as well. Search the internet for vintage wool blankets to see what we mean.

| Requirements: | Fabric requirements can be found on the back of the pattern. You will need rotary cutter, ruler, thread for piecing and basic sewing notions for class. Don't forget your favorite cowboy hat and belt buckle. Don't worry about all those bias cuts in the flying geese. The pattern shows a no-waste technique for making them. An alternate method uses AccuQuilt as explained in the next paragraph. For AccuQuilt users, Darla has put together a supplemental document; it will be provided free of charge for those who attend the class. You will need Accuquilt Flying Geese Die #55456, or dies 4 and 5 from the 12 inch Mix and Match Qube. We do have the Flying Geese die in stock especially for this project. If choosing to do the twin size using AccuQuilt, we recommend increasing yardage for Fabric A to 6 ⅓ yd (from 6 1/4 yard); yardage given for the other sizes will be adequate for use with AccuQuilt. |
