Circle of Friends
Make this colorful circle of Friendship Star quilt using a rotary cutter or with AccuQuilt; the choice is up to you because the pattern gives directions for both. Although the blocks are made of simple squares and half square triangles, weaving them together to form the circle requires a little more thought so we are rating this as an intermediate class. Our 56” square sample was made using an 8” Qube and we did not use 10” precuts so we adjusted the fabric requirements.

| Requirements: | You must have pattern for the class. This pattern can be made with rotary cutter or your AccuQuilt Cutting System. Class supplies:Sewing machine, 1/4 inch foot, AccuQuilt cutter, dies, and mats, optional - AccuQuilt dies used: 2 1/2 inch strip cutter, Qube 8 #2 (2 1/2 inch square); Qube 8 #5 ( 2 1/2 inch half square triangle). Optional 6 1/2 inch Square die #55000. Rotary cutter and 24 inch ruler, Scissors, Fabric -2 1/4 to 2 1/2 yard background fabric, ⅛ yard EACH of 8 different colors, 3/4 yard border fabric, 1/2 yard binding fabric To avoid pieced borders, increase border/binding to 1 3/4 yards. |
