CUT WORK APPLIQUE

In this two hour class, you will learn about cut work appliqué—how to make cut work appliqué patterns from freezer paper, cutting, basting and placement of your appliqué on your background fabric. You will learn the needle turn appliqué stitch and reverse appliqué stitch along with tips on getting your appliqué stitches perfect and how to properly press your appliqué block.

I do not recommend using any solid fabrics for first time appliqué student’s as stitches are more easily seen and do not recommend using batik fabrics as they are more tightly woven and harder to do hand needle work with. If you want to use batiks I recommend washing them before class to soften the fabric.
